Backbite is a Predacon, cloned from ancient CNA by Shockwave and used by the scientist's disciples, the Forged, to attack and capture their enemies.

When Ser-Ket learned that Ultra Magnus's craft had been shot down in a skirmish with Decepticons, she dispatched a number of Forged troops, along with Backbite, to find the crash site before the Autobots did.
