During the rust age of Cybertron, when predacons were still in natural existence, the great cataclysm raged across Cybertron, wiping out the entire predacon race. Even though the cataclysm exterminated the predacons sparks, their fossilized remains where gradually berried under rust. It was not until the golden age that (and in the golden age predacons where regarded as legend)the cause of the cataclysm was discovered. strong magnetic storms where brewing above cybertron, and rust storms were getting hotter. One cycle, a storm so large and boiling struck all of cybertron, burning and fossilizing its inhabitants.
