Marvel Comics continuity

After the Decepticons attacked Blackrock Enterprises's new high-tech oil platform, G.B. Blackrock had defenses beefed up at Blackrock Aerospace Assembly Plant Number One, which included the installation of artillery pieces and the hiring of a small private army. These measures were met with mixed feelings by the workers, but tolerated for the time being. Still, the new defenses would not be enough for the cunning of Soundwave, who waited in cassette deck-mode until a human would be so kind to bring him inside and get him past the brunt of the weaponry. This human was Gabe, and just like his pal Ferdy and many of his colleagues, he was imprisoned with the assembly plant when Soundwave and Laserbeak launched their attack and took over. Before contacting his superior, Shockwave, to report on a mission well-accomplished, Soundwave appeared before the gathered news crews outside as a silent warning to anyone who reckoned they could take back the assembly plant.

G.B. Blackrock learned of the hijack of Blackrock Aerospace Assembly Plant Number One from a TV newscast. Naturally, he was pissed that the Decepticons were able to take over another of his installations, but moreso distraught that this was the second installation Josie Beller had designed for him that had been taken over by the Decepticons. Hence, his first response was not to organize a counter-attack, but to visit Josie in the Blackrock Chronic Care Institute and tell her the bad news himself as well as apologize. Josie listened to Blackrock calmly, as to her the story was only a minor extra incentive to continue work on her new anti-robot weapon. Warrior School! Repeat Performance! The Wrath of Guardian! DIS-Integrated Circuits!

The plant served as Decepticon headquarters as Shockwave used it to construct the Constructicons and Jetfire with the coerced help of the employee hostages. The Next Best Thing to Being There! Brainstorm!

The employees were able to escape after a Buster-controlled Jetfire knocked Shockwave offline. The Decepticons abandoned it completely after Optimus Prime threw Shockwave into the nearby swamp. Prime Time!
