| This article is about Transformer opticalwear. For human eyewear, see glasses. |
|
This article is about a character or concept which lacks any official name or designation. |

Unlike the crude human devices known as glasses, these spectacles are worn by Transformers, presumably to enhance superior, Cybertronian optical sensors. They are most popular with scientists, but since fashionable Auto-Detailing Designers have sported them, we can assume some bots wear them simply to look cool. Spectacles come in a variety of lens colors, including red (like another type of specs.)

Lander appeared in these when in his Pretender shell, so, they may just be glasses.
Live action continuity

Scalpel glared menacingly through his clear, round specs at the captive Sam Witwicky. Revenge of the Fallen
Wheeljack (a.k.a. Que) also wore a pair of clear, round spectacles. Dark of the Moon
Animated cartoon continuity

Perceptor wore a pair of yellow-tinted, frameless spectacles.
Scalpel was equipped with a pair of red-tinted, half-moon spectacles.
Tracks was seen looking down, over his clear, half-moon spectacles at an organic visitor to Cybertron. This Is Why I Hate Machines
Transformers: All Spark manga continuity

Before going to Earth, Starscream occasionally wore spectacles.
Notes
- In the Animated continuity, Tracks, Perceptor and Scalpel not only share the same fashion sense in optic-wear, but all three have been involved in alterations to external shells, being an Auto-Detailing Designer, a scientist who participated in upgrading Jetfire and Jetstorm, and a medi-bot behind Team Stunticon's disguises, respectively.
- Animation errors result in Trailbreaker appearing like he's wearing spectacles in "Divide and Conquer" and "A Plague of Insecticons".
