- Panther's Japanese name and brief character write-up come from a Japanese Beast Wars guidebook called the Beast Wars Perfect Book.
- The Beast Wars Metals manga used Panther to represent the father of Beast Wars Ravage. Whether this means that Panther was the previously unseen father of Generation 1 Ravage or if Panther was G1 Ravage and Beast Wars Ravage was his subsequent offspring in that continuity is uncertain.
