- Crosscut's successor is a Decepticon from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Crosscut's successor" is as out of luck as Crosscut himself. Or even more; at least Crosscut got a name check.
Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
The ill-fated Decepticon was ordered by Straxus to go on the (still active) space bridge and find out what had happened that made Crosscut explode. Uneager to risk his life, the Decepticon got a slim chance of survival tossed his way when Shrapnel noted it'd be more effective if he'd contact the bridge's architect and ask him if he knew what could be wrong. Straxus refused to waste his time like that and kicked the not-volunteer onto the bridge, where he soon shared Crosscut's fate. The Bridge to Nowhere!
Notes
- He had a head-cannon reminiscent of that of his contemporary, Bombshell. It probably didn't shoot cerebro-shells, though.
