"Dawn of the Autobots" is a post-event branding used by IDW Publishing's Generation 1 titles for the six months following the conclusion of the "Dark Cybertron" story. It encompasses the "second season premieres" of flagship ongoing series More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise as well as the four-issue Windblade mini-series.

"Dawn of the Autobots" is marketed as a "jumping-on-point" for new readers and follows the adventures of three distinct groups of Autobots (who have won the Great War). More than Meets the Eye continues to follow the crew of the Lost Light in search of the Knights of Cybertron. A few personnel changes aside, the big difference this time around is that the ship is now captained by new Autobot Megatron! Robots in Disguise follows a small crew of Autobots led by Optimus Prime to Earth in search of Alpha Trion. Windblade is set on Cybertron and focuses on the young title character who is trying to heal Metroplex while Cybertronian leader Starscream schemes.
