- The Heap is a location from the TransTech continuity.
Don't go to the Heap. Seriously, don't. Encompassing the absolute bottom of Axiom Nexus in all ways, Zone 9 is officially known as the Indirect Reclamation Zone. In the data-cons provided for guests of the city, the first sentence in the Heap's entry is "Stay out unless you really want to die." Under the technical jurisdiction of the Freelance Police Legion, the Heap is really an absolutely lawless wasteland under the control of the United Anarchists League (the TransTech's Security Administration doesn't even maintain the pretense of patrolling the area). More than once, Commander Cheetor has requisitioned a tactical nuclear device to clear out the Heap. So far, only bureaucratic red tape has kept the most dangerous region of Axiom Nexus festering under the surface of the proper city.
