The River Thames runs through London, the capital city of the United Kingdom. It occasionally contains aquatic or deactivated Transformers and other mechanoids.

Marvel Comics continuity
The Thames appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.
After battling the Autobots and Action Force in London, the clone of Megatron was thrown by Centurion into the river. Ancient Relics!
Later, Richard Branson led an expedition into the Thames to retrieve the deactivated bodies of the clone and Centurion. He was frustrated in his efforts by the intervention of Jawbreaker, Thrust, Ramjet, Dirge and Blitzwing, who promptly swiped his catch. Salvage!
