- The Imperial Shuttle is a type of spacecraft from the Star Wars continuity.
Imperial Shuttles are a form of long-range space transport used by the Empire, though they seem to be exclusively used by Emperor Palpatine.
Fiction
Star Wars Transformers
After warping Darth Vader in body and mind, Palpatine used the dark side of the Force to transform himself into an Imperial Shuttle so that he could transport Vader to a location on the Outer Rim for training. Star Wars Transformers bio Later, when tracking down the Empire's enemies, Palpatine flew his Imperial Shuttle to a Rebel gathering. He used the Force to transform the shuttle into a mech with which to crush the Rebels. Crossovers bio
Toys
Star Wars Transformers
- Emperor Palpatine/Imperial Shuttle (2007)
- Accessories: Emperor Palpatine figure, wings (left & right), tail fin/shield, missile launcher, lightsaber/missile
- Emperor Palpatine's vehicle transforms from an Imperial Shuttle to a giant mech in his image. The shuttle's tail fin can be fitted on his arm as a shield, while Palpatine's red lightsaber can be either held on its own or fired from a missile launcher that can be used as a gun in robot mode. His wings detach from his shoulders and reattach on his waist to emulate the character's cloak. Like all Star Wars Transformers toys, the toy includes a mini-figure of Emperor Palpatine himself to pilot the shuttle.
Crossovers
- Emperor Palpatine/Imperial Shuttle (2008)
- Accessories: Wings (left & right), tail fin/shield, missile launcher, lightsaber/missile
- A black redeco of the earlier toy, designed to better resemble Palpatine himself when in robot mode. Released under the Crossovers banner, this version did not include the Emperor Palpatine mini-figure. This version was released at the tail end of the initial Star Wars Crossovers line, shortly before the line was rebranded to bring focus to the Clone Wars animated film and TV series. As a result, it saw incredibly poor distribution.
Notes
- An Imperial Shuttle also makes a guest appearance as an Autobot ship in the Find Your Fate Junior book "The Invisibility Factor".
