IDW Generation 1 continuity
In ancient times, Cybertron was led by the Thirteen who each led one of the Thirteen Tribes on the planet. These tribes were engaged in warfare with one another with the Citadel of Light being the home of Prima and his followers. When the Primes began disappearing, Onyx Prime sent his forces to destroy Prima's citadel. Prima had already fled and only Nova Major and Eucryphia (who died quickly) were left to defend the Citadel.
