- Chairman is a Star Seeker from the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Chairman is one of the older members of the Tidal Wave crew. One of his functions is to write all the captain's speeches, spending most of his time in his quarters wordsmithing so that he can later display the resulting speeches on the teleprompter on his chest. The current Cannonball doesn't rely on him as much as previous Cannonballs, and some of the other members of the crew resent the Chairman not pitching in with the work.
The Chairman's other function is that he transforms into the Captain's chair.

Wings Universe
Shortly after the Tidal Wave passed through the Demon's Maw and suffered an attack from a giant space-faring creature, Cannonball gave a speech, aided by the Chairman. At the end of the speech, the Chairman transformed so he could carry Cannonball off. Tornado's Personal Journal
