Mining Outpost C-12

Mining Outpost C-12 is a Cybertronian mining town from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Mining Outpost C-12 is a mining town on one of Cybertron's satellites, Croteus 12. It falls under Kaon's jurisdiction and among the workers employed there are Megatron, Frenzy and Rumble.

The high-ups of Kaon wanted to automate the mines in their jurisdiction so that they'd be more profitable. The workers at most mines were fired without much trouble, but word of the proceedings reached the remaining mines. Senator Decimus was tasked with automating Mining Outpost C-12. Formalities demanded that he travelled to the outpost to notify the miners of their imminent unemployment personally. He did, backed up by a large security force in case things would go awry. One miner spoke up against the decision, stating that the Senate only cared about its own well-being. Decimus sicced security on him and had him killed, which triggered the rest of the miners into a revolt. Obviously, the miners didn't stand a chance against the armed security forces and were subdued. Senator Decimus had them put on transport to Penal Facility H-3. Megatron Origin #1
