Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon. On July 20, 1969, the United States astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to leave their homeworld of Earth and land on another celestial body, something that other, more advanced species may take for granted but is considered a major accomplishment in the history of human space exploration. They were launched in a capsule on top of a Saturn V rocket.

Fiction

Ghosts of Yesterday

The Apollo 11 mission contained the first manned human craft to reach the moon. Unknown to most people, this also served as an elaborate cover for the secret launch of Ghost 1, a far more advanced spacecraft reverse-engineered from alien technology. Ghosts of Yesterday
