Synopsis
Sky Lynx apologetically announces to his passengers that with the weight he's carrying, he's not going to make it back to Cybertron. Rodimus passes on the news that some of those on board are going to have to take a walk so the rest of them can make it to their home world — he nominates the more damaged ones. Brawn, Ratchet, Prowl and Inferno are duly turfed out of Sky Lynx, and Rodimus himself throws out Optimus Prime before immediately declaring himself the new leader. No one has any objections.
Optimus and the other discarded Autobots float through space, but it's not long before the former Autobot leader hears a voice calling to him. As he looks into the light, an enormous planet introduces itself as Unicron.

Notes
Errors
Continuity notes
- Chromedome was mentioned way back in Dungeons & Dinobots, having apparently been 'put on a shelf'. Evidently, being 'put on a shelf' is not as lethal a euphemism as was implied.
Transformers references
- The events of this story are a riff off the sequence set in Astrotrain in The Transformers: The Movie.
- Likewise, the four damaged Autobots that are jettisoned are the same Autobots that were killed on the Autobot shuttle, excepting the substitution of Ironhide with Inferno, as SG Ironhide died in "Invasion" in another homage to The Transformers: The Movie.
- The title of the overall story arc and the makeup of Sky Lynx's passengers however, are a reference to the crew of the Lost Light from IDW Publishing's More than Meets the Eye comic series.
