One of the prisoners aboard the Alchemor, Minitron was freed when the ship crashed on Earth.
Minitron worked with Steeljaw, and attached himself to Grimlock, controlling him so that he would free Decepticon prisoners that the Autobots had captured. Under Minitron's control, Grimlock attacked the Autobots before leaving with the stasis pod containing the Decepticon prisoner Underbite.
