A Flash Forward is the seventh six-part story arc published through the official fan club, by license-holder Fun Publications. The story appeared in the club's bi-monthly magazine, in issues #4348. The story returns to the Generation 2-era future of the Wings Universe introduced in the BotCon 2010 comic "Generation 2: Redux".

The story arc was written by Jesse Wittenrich and Pete Sinclair, with a portion of the first installment written by Flint Dille. The art was by Matt Frank with colors by Thomas Deer and letters by Jesse Wittenrich.

A Flash Forward

Overview

Following the incident in which a number of Transformers received strange new powers, Jhiaxus recruits and sends Runabout and Runamuck on a number of errands, including kidnapping Nebulon scientist Hi-Q. A group of Autobots led by Pyro trace the abductors to Qre, where they discover Jhiaxus has created a number of "Generation 2" clones of Transformers including Ironhide, Soundwave, and Nightracer. Though the Autobots are taken captive, they escape with the help of Sideswipe's power and total the base. They are able to persuade some of the clones to return with them to Earth, where Sizzle has a vision of the impending "Machine Wars".

Notes

  • The story repurposes the third wave of Generation 2 Go-Bots, as well as BotCon 1995 Nightracer, as clones of the original Transformers with the same names.
