Roadmaster is a Camien Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Alex Milne wanted Roadmaster to be as big and tough as Ultra Magnus, and he briefly had designs for this bodystyle to be used as a base for a Strika design, but he decided that he wanted Strika to be bigger. Like the other new characters who debuted alongside her, Roadmaster was named by Milne.
