Finding his missing comrades in a fight with the Junkions, Kup, who knew the Junkions were not their enemies, wanted to try a pacifistic approach to help them. He entered the battlefield armed with no more than the Universal greeting and an Energon Stick as gift for the Junkions, a strategy that turned out successful. The Junkions returned the greeting and accepted the Energon Stick, thus becoming the Autobots' new allies. Battle on the Junk Planet
