The Firecons were sent to Earth to attempt to pursuade Galvatron to form an alliance with the Decepticons on Cybertron. On Earth they engaged in battle with the Sparkabots (referred to here as the Sparkler Mini-Bots) who had been sent to Earth by Springer to keep watch on Galvatron.
