Tasked with a great mission by Primus himself, Windblade has been imbued with heightened senses which give her an almost clairvoyant instinct for finding Decepticons. Her enhanced fighting abilities and power to create powerful blasts of wind make her a formidable foe, though her overconfidence can sometimes lead her to bite off more than she can chew. She likes to give her teammates nicknames, something that's not always appreciated.

A thousand years ago, Windblade was given a mission by Primus himself, receiving upgrades and being placed in stasis. After awakening on Earth, she began the task of hunting down fugitive Decepticons who had been released as a result of the crash of the Alchemor. While capturing Razorpaw, she stumbled on Sideswipe and assumed he was another Decepticon. After a brief fight, that confusion was cleared up and Sideswipe introduced him to Bumblebee's team. She joined the team in heading to a nearby airfield where the Decepticon Zizza was holed up. Though Windblade intended to deal with the situation head on as usual, Strongarm prevented her from potentially endangering the humans Zizza had hypnotized. She instead helped Team Bee keep the humans safe and subsequently took part in a safer plan which Strongarm came up with, successfully capturing Zizza. The Buzz on Windblade

Windblade was again drawn to the scrapyard base of Bumblebee's team, to find Strongarm and Sideswipe had been captured. She went to reconnoiter the steel mill the Decepticons were using as a base, only to be captured herself and be bound to an immense statue which proved in integral part of bringing Megatronus to Earth. Battlegrounds, Part 1 She was able to break free from her bonds to try and prevent Megatronus from reaching the spark fuser which was a vital part of his plan. As the battle wore on, she and the other Autobots managed to drop the arm of the statue on their foe, resulting in his defeat. With the other Decepticons also captured, Windblade opted to remain on Earth with Bumblebee's team. Battlegrounds, Part 2
