- Yamada-3 was a character created by artist Hayato Sakamoto for his fanworks.
- "Yamada-3" seems to be a pun on 山立ち (yamadasa, "bandit") or 山出し (yamadashi, "bumpkin"). The Japanese words for three and four are san and shi, respectively.
