Unicron promises Starscream a new body in exchange for help in restoring himself.

Synopsis

Unicron, desiring new eyes and a new body, strikes a deal with the ghostly Starscream. Starscream takes control of Cyclonus and Scourge and forces them to fly to Earth to retrieve what Unicron wants. Sergeant Kup and Slingshot happen to be inspecting Autobot City when the trio arrive to steal Metroplex's eyes, but the Decepticons succeed in making off with one of the eyes. The Autobots give chase as the trio head for Trypticon, aiming to supply the giant's body to Unicron. Kup and Slingshot manage to halt Unicron's plan, preventing his resurrection. Cyclonus and Scourge are freed from Starscream's control but are left with no memory of what has happened and return to base bewildered. Starscream himself escapes, now in possession of a new body bestowed on him by Unicron.

Notes

  • This is a team battle event. Changes made to the format for this event included restricting team sizes to 20 players, down from the previous 32.
  • The story is based on the Generation 1 episode "Ghost in the Machine", but Legends already used that title for a previous event featuring Starscream's ghost.
  • Unlike the original episode, where Starscream tumbles through space after being blasted by Galvatron and his underlings, never to be seen again, Starscream manages to escape unscathed. In a sense, Starscream just got resurrected in the Legends timeline and will likely be back to create trouble again, possibly with a rebel Decepticon faction.
