Synopsis

Stuck behind a radiation field, Pyro defends Optimus Prime to Jhiaxus, who remains unimpressed. Jhiaxus assures him that unlike the typical Decepticon, his aim is only peace and a total end to war. He introduces the Autobot team to his 'second generation' of clones whom he is mentoring. He's reminded that there's a member of Pyro's team missing, so he sends Nightracer to look for stragglers. As she heads out, Side Burn takes the opportunity to hit on her and is rebuffed. Runabout suggests he go after her anyway, and so he does. He almost runs down Sky-Byte and a Sharkticon as he leaves with the Battlechargers.

The Sharkticon, who is actually missing Autobot Sideswipe in disguise, finds a series of tubes containing more clones, including one of himself. Alerted by a noise as Soundwave and Ironhide investigate movement, Sideswipe disguises himself as his clone and comes crashing out of the tube. The pair are sufficiently fooled and assume the clone has woken early. Jhiaxus arrives and introduces himself to Sideswipe. After instructing Soundwave to check the systems for problems, he takes Sideswipe to see the prisoners. Sideswipe shoots Pyro a wink, and Pyro drops a hint about the radiation field. After he drops it a second time, Sideswipe gets it, and uses his blaster on the radiation field, much to Jhiaxus's shock.

Notes

  • On the first page, the entirety of the words-and-speech-balloons layer is shifted downward, resulting in a bunch of GoBots being covered up in the last panel.
  • Like his namesake, Ironhide has the habit of hollering "leakin' lubricants!"
