- Syphon is an Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity
Syphon and Hot Rod fought together in the Forced Flood. At some point, Syphon was listed as MIA, in actuality because Censere the Necrobot used the time case to rescue Syphon from whatever fate awaited him and bring him to the future after the war (because he was listed as "missing" before Censere decided to use the time case...). The rigors of time travel taking its toll on Syphon, he was placed in a coma and disguised as an organic being using holograms.
