Five Dark Epochs

The Five Dark Epochs were the tumultuous periods of the Great War that all threatened to bring the Transformer race to extinction. The Five Dark Epochs were, in order:

• The Uprising: Megatron declares war on the Senate.
• The Exodus: The neutrals departing Cybertron.
• The Remote Age: The war spreading out to the stars, to the point Optimus Prime and Megatron sealed themselves in omniglobes to track the progress of every battlefield.
• The Cataclysm: Thunderwing's experiment that transformed him into a powerful, raging beast that required the Autobots and Decepticons to unite against him, but at the cost of devastating Cybertron completely.
• The Surge: An all-out assault on every Autobot outpost, ordered by Megatron after abandoning the infiltration protocols.
