BotCon 2007 is currently scheduled to be held from June 27 to July 1 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Merchandise

Convention-exclusive toys

This year's Botcon exclusive box set is called Games of Deception!, and it will include Thundercracker, Ramjet, Dirge, Dreadwind and Bug Bite. All are slated to be redecoes of existing Classics figures.[1]

Many fans were extremely angered by the news that the Seekers were to be part of the convention-exclusive set, as both Starscream and Skywarp were released at regular retail. One possible explanation for this is that they are a bunch of deeply stupid, entitled whiney crybabies who need to get over themselves and their martyr complexes, and realize that this is the only way they would get these figures at all.

Comics

The convention program will include a comic, also titled Games of Deception!. The Botcon brochure indicates that this story will revolve around a "mysterious Decepticon [making] his way towards Earth".
