Dreamwave Generation One continuity

The Decepticons Frenzy and Rumble mentioned Geronimo as one of the various Autobot casualties while enjoying some downtime, getting to the "G"s in tallying up the known dead. The Age of Wrath Pt.3

Ask Vector Prime

"Geronimo" was a non-literal translation using a culturally dependent "best-fit" algorithm. He fought a losing battle, but despite this his name became a rallying cry throughout history, hence the translation. Ask Vector Prime, 28/9/2015

• The name "Geronimo" comes from a real-life Native American Apache leader. If a Transformer named "Glasnost" millions of years ago is weird, then one named "Geronimo" is just.... Meanwhile, have you met Jazz?
