It seems to me the reference is deeper than just the proto humans. The bridge of the Nemesis has designs reminiscent of Imperial tech. Plus, the final battle is two bad guys, kne of whom returns to the good, and a good guy, who is being tortured by the overlord while his assistant watches in indecision. Plus, a death ray. It seems to me the reference is deeper than just the proto humans. The bridge of the Nemesis has designs reminiscent of Imperial tech. Plus, the final battle is two bad guys, kne of whom returns to the good, and a good guy, who is being tortured by the overlord while his assistant watches in indecision. Plus, a death ray.
