At some point, Rapidfire was rescued by the time-travelling Necrobot from whatever fate awaited him and was brought to the future after the war. After awaking from his slumber in a stasis capsule, Rapidfire was not happy about a present where the Autobots won the war, and conspired with his fellow Decepticon Fangry in order to make it right.
