Predacon Field Squadron

The Predacon Field Squadron ground force are specialized for combat in water, air and on land, and they cannot cut it in any of them. They try their best, but their most admirable quality is that they are good for a laugh.<ref>As stated in their R2 DVD bio</ref> Each member of the team fires the Right, Left, and Center Lasers to combine into one mighty attack.

A redeco of the Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Predacon Spittor, Goosher transforms into a monstrous techno-organic toad. His beast mode tongue acts as a hand-held flail weapon for robot mode. He also has a flip-up claw on his toad back.

A repaint of the Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Maximal Stinkbomb , Gas Skunk transforms into a techno-organic monstrous skunk. His tail features a separate swinging scissor-blade at the tip. He has a hidden spark crystal in his right rear leg in beast mode (left bicep in robot mode) revealed by a simple flip-up panel. His other leg/arm also has a flip-up panel, but there's nothing special under that one.

For their Hasbro releases, the members of the Predacon Field Squadron were released in a Mega-level pricepoint box all together. The toys in the 3-pack features several deco differences: Slapper features metallic green eyes rather than silver, Gas Skunk features a slightly darker yellow paint on his beast mode back, and Dark Scream features silver-colored plastic rather than dull grey, silver chrome to his back of his neck, and different paint applications on his beast mode head.

Notes

• According to the Car Robots toy catalog, Dark Scream, Gas Skunk and Slapper make up a subgroup known as the "3 Metal Beast Brothers" (メタルビースト３兄弟 Metaru Bīsuto 3 Kyōdai). Apparently, Takara's intent was to have them parallel the deluxe "Three Car Robot Brothers" (as Prowl, Side Burn, and X-Brawn were called in Japan). Similarly, according to Fox Kids's (now defunct) website, the name of Slapper's, Dark Scream's, and Gas Skunk's three-member team is the "Predacon Field Squadron".<ref>http://web.archive.org/web/20020124195705/http://www.foxkids.com/tvshows/transformers/characters.asp</ref> All that's known about it is that Slapper is its third member, meaning Gas Skunk and Dark Scream are the first and second (but exactly who is the first and who is the second is not known). However, neither name was used in either broadcast version of the cartoon.
