Hans-Cuff is a heroic Guardian. He works as a prison guard and copper, which he'd have to with that name.
Fiction
Ask Vector Prime
In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Hans-Cuff, along with Wrong Way, Ace, Royal-T, Good Knight, Bolt, and Heat Seeker, joined Turbo in battle against Optimus Prime and his team of Spy Changers, assuming them to be Renegades. The Spy Changers were outnumbered until they were suddenly aided by Cy-Kill's elite lieutenants, Cop-Tur, Crasher, Fitor, Tank, and Geeper-Creeper.
