Governor's Island is an island located off the coast of New York City. It's home to G.I. Joe's current headquarters.

Following a Transformer battle in the Indian Ocean, Zilong Qian flew the critically injured Blitzwing to the island on the orders of Joe Colton. White Heat Blitzwing was imprisoned in the depths of G.I. Joe's facility, and Colton's old war buddy Miles Mayhem oversaw his vivisection.
