- The Grand Architect is a (presumably) unaligned Transformer from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.
The Grand Architect is a mysterious Cybertronian with a shadowy goal. He appears to be somehow connected to the Knights of Cybertron, and is engaged in various endeavours towards his goal. In short, it would appear he has plans.
Some of his employees call him Techy. He doesn't sound like he's a very good boss. He has penchant for Worldsweepers despite their slow speed and tendency to crash.

Demus and two other Transformers were growing something on Tebris VII. After Demus' death at the cannons of Fortress Maximus, his Worldsweeper-flying co-conspirators rejected the idea of moving their operation because that would cause them to miss the Grand Architect's deadline and incur his wrath. Anode and Lug were hired by "Techy" to unearth a "snowflake" of sentio metallico from Luna 2. When a Cybernought attacked them Lug caustically observed that their employer would be "delighted" at not having to pay them because they were dead. Some Other Cybertron
In 2017, "Techy" sent out a summons for blacksmiths to come to Howling Town. Rocket and Scammer responded to his summons and were promptly murdered. The late arriving Wipe-Out found their bodies and bolted. After he'd found his old friends Anode and Lug nearly murdered by the Black Block Consortia, Wipe-Out concluded that they were hunting down blacksmiths. At a bar however, Lug disproved that theory leading Wipe-Out to realize that the Grand Architect himself was hunting them down. Glimpsing a Worldsweeper above the bar, the three opted to flee before "Techy" teleported down a contingent of troops into the bar and barring their escape. An Axe to Break the Ice
