The name or term "Hammer" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Hammer (disambiguation).
Here comes the Hammer.

Typically, Transformers use hammers as medical or construction tools, but they can also serve as effective hand-to-hand combat weapons ideal for breaking shield, thick armor or shattering limbs. For similar weapons, see maces and flails.

Marvel Comics continuity

Marvel The Transformers comics

Characters armed with hammers appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.
Please Hammer, don't hurt 'em.

Ruin had a hammer in place of his left hand, to complement the anvil that the conjoined Rack had in place of his right. Target: 2006 He used it to fight Optimus Prime, ...The Harder They Die! zombies, Meltdown! and future Decepticons Wrecking Havoc before being permanently taken out of action by Galvatron. Time Wars

Not surprisingly, Steamhammer had dual hammers built into his arms. The Magnificent Six!

Regeneration One

Hammer time.

As part of the Wreckers, Ruin used his hammer to fight Circuit Smasher, Loose Ends, Part 3 autoguns, Loose Ends, Part 4 Guardian units, Loose Ends, Part 5 dissatisfied citizens of Cybertron, Destiny, Part One Fang, Destiny, Part Two Fort Scyk, Destiny, Part Three Bludgeon, Destiny, Part Five the Hub Network, The War to End All Wars, Part 4 shadow-leeches and a Dark Matrix-possessed Fortress Maximus. The War to End All Wars, Part 5 Phew.

Transformers: Animated

  • Ultra Magnus wields the Magnus Hammer.
  • Both Shockwave and Optimus Prime have also wielded the Magnus Hammer.
  • The Allspark Almanac implies there is more than one "Stormbringer" hammer.
  • Ratchet's deluxe class toy is packaged with a medical hammer, though it probably serves as an effective weapon as well.

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Pump it up.

Ruin once had "normal" hands Omega's Conundrum but at some point ended up being conjoined to Rack and had his left hand replaced with a hammer. After they joined the Wreckers, it saw action against their longtime rivals, the Decepticon attack squad known as Squadron X on Pova, Last Stand of the Wreckers #4 which may not have been such a glorious battle after all. Last Stand of the Wreckers #5 Their health deteriorating, Zero Point Rack 'n' Ruin died some time afterwards. Dead Men's Boots

Ultra Magnus used a giant freakin' hammer to take out a group of Decepticon loyalists who attempted to spring Megatron from his trial at the Raskol Arena on Luna 2. Predestination: A Beginner's Guide

Toys

Cybertron

This is the way we roll.
  • Red Alert (Deluxe Class, 2005)
Cybertron Red Alert came with a hammer-head that can be attached onto his left arm blaster.
  • Cybertron Defense Red Alert (Ultra-Class, 2005)
Red Alert's upgraded Cybertron Defense body also came with a hammer attachment.
  • Cannonball (Deluxe class, 2006)
As a redeco of Cybertron Red Alert, Cannonball came with a hammer attachment.

Timelines

  • Darksyde Megatron (Ultra-class, 2006)
Retooled and redecoed from Cybertron Defense Red Alert, this version of Megatron came with a hammer attachment.
Being a convention-exclusive retool and redeco of Cybertron Red Alert, Kup also came with a hammer attachment.

Transformers (2007)

  • Crankcase (Deluxe, 2008)
A Wal-Mart exclusive redeco of Cybertron Red Alert, Crankcase also came with a hammer attachment.

Transformers Animated

Too legit to quit.
  • Ultra Magnus (Leader, 2008)
Part of the second wave of Animated Leader Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with a giant, spring-loaded, expanding hammer, presumably representing the Magnus Hammer.
  • Roadbuster Ultra Magnus (Leader, 2009)
A redeco based on Generation 1 Roadbuster's colours, this version of Ultra Magnus came with a similarly redecoed hammer, now labeled as a "Stormbringer".
  • Wingblade Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2010)
Wingblade Optimus Prime, as seen in "Endgame, Part II" came with the Magnus Hammer instead of his Axe, though this toy was ultimately only released in Japan.

Crossovers

Pray.
  • Thor (Marvel, 2009)
Thor transforms into yellow, red, and blue A-10 Thunderbolt II and came packaged with his hammer Mjolnir.

Mech Machines

  • Thor to Thunder Bomber (2012)
A redeco of his Crossovers toy, this Thor also came with Mjolnir.

Cyberverse

  • Ultra Magnus (Cyberverse Commander, 2012)

Do not pass me by.
  • Ultra Magnus (Cyberverse Commander, 2014)
Part of the last known wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with the Forge of Solus Battle Hammer.

Prime

  • Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2012)
Part of the fourth wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Voyager Class toys, the Hasbro version of this larger-scale Magnus came with a massive artillery cannon that transforms into a "battle hammer", with its hammerhead illuminated by an LED.
The TakaraTomy release, part of the ninth wave of Japanese Prime toys, instead came with his Arms Micron partner Ulma, who transforms into his hammer. The hammer can still be wielded two-handed, but doesn't make a particularly convincing artillery cannon.
  • War Breakdown (Voyager Class, 2012-06-30)
Only available in the Japanese Prime line, "War Breakdown" came with his packed-in partner Zamu, who transforms into Breakdown's wrist-mounted hammer (though it actually attaches to the truck mode roof bit which flips up over his wrist, but it's a close enough approximation).
  • Megatron (Deluxe, 2012-03-31)
  • War Breakdown (Voyager, 2012-06-30)
  • Jet Vehicon (Deluxe, 2012-07-28)
The Debris Hammer is formed from Zamu (packaged with War Breakdown) in hammer mode at one end, Igu (packaged with the Jet Vehicon) forming the handle, and the first version of Gora (packaged with Deluxe Megatron) forming a second hammerhead at the other end.
  • Hellflame Zamu (Promotional Micron, 2012-07-28)
A clear-red version of Zamu was given away as a campaign bonus with the purchase of 3000 yen's worth of Transformers at Japanese ToysЯUs stores on July 28, 2012.

Beast Hunters

  • Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2013)
Part of the third wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Voyager Class toys, Ultra Magnus is now a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Voyager Class Optimus Prime toy. He came with a larger-scale "Forge of Solus Battle Hammer", which features a 5mm handle.

Platinum Edition

They put me in the mix.
  • Ultra Magnus (Weaponizer, 2013)
Platinum Edition 'Thrilling 30' Ultra Magnus is a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Weaponizer Class Optimus Prime toy that came with a different and even larger version of the "Forge of Solus Battle Hammer", which can only be held via two smaller 5mm handles on either end of the haft.

Adventure

A show-accurate redeco of the Beast Hunters Voyager Class toy, this Ultra Magnus came with a show-accurate redeco of the Forge of Solus Battle Hammer.
