Typically, Transformers use hammers as medical or construction tools, but they can also serve as effective hand-to-hand combat weapons ideal for breaking shield, thick armor or shattering limbs. For similar weapons, see maces and flails.

Ruin had a hammer in place of his left hand, to complement the anvil that the conjoined Rack had in place of his right. • Ultra Magnus wields the Magnus Hammer.
• Both Shockwave and Optimus Prime have also wielded the Magnus Hammer.
• The Allspark Almanac implies there is more than one "Stormbringer" hammer.
• Ratchet's deluxe class toy is packaged with a medical hammer, though it probably serves as an effective weapon as well.

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Pump it up.

Ruin once had "normal" hands Omega's Conundrum but at some point ended up being conjoined to Rack and had his left hand replaced with a hammer. After they joined the Wreckers, it saw action against their longtime rivals, the Decepticon attack squad known as Squadron X on Pova, Last Stand of the Wreckers #4 which may not have been such a glorious battle after all. Cybertron Red Alert came with a hammer-head that can be attached onto his left arm blaster.

A Wal-Mart exclusive redeco of Cybertron Red Alert, Crankcase also came with a hammer attachment.

• Ultra Magnus (Leader, 2008)

Part of the second wave of Animated Leader Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with a giant, spring-loaded, expanding hammer, presumably representing the Magnus Hammer.

• Roadbuster Ultra Magnus (Leader, 2009)

A redeco based on Generation 1 Roadbuster's colours, this version of Ultra Magnus came with a similarly redecoed hammer, now labeled as a "Stormbringer".

• Wingblade Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2010)

Wingblade Optimus Prime, as seen in "Endgame, Part II" came with the Magnus Hammer instead of his Axe, though this toy was ultimately only released in Japan.

Thor transforms into yellow, red, and blue A-10 Thunderbolt II and came packaged with his hammer Mjolnir.

Cyberverse

• Ultra Magnus (Cyberverse Commander, 2012)

Part of the third wave of Prime Series 2 Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with a translucent blue hammer which can also transform into an artillery cannon.

Part of the last known wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Class toys, Ultra Magnus came with the Forge of Solus Battle Hammer.

Prime

• Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2012)

Part of the fourth wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Voyager Class toys, the Hasbro version of this larger-scale Magnus came with a massive artillery cannon that transforms into a "battle hammer", with its hammerhead illuminated by an LED.

The TakaraTomy release, part of the ninth wave of Japanese Prime toys, instead came with his Arms Micron partner Ulma, who transforms into his hammer. The hammer can still be wielded two-handed, but doesn't make a particularly convincing artillery cannon.

• War Breakdown (Voyager Class, 2012-06-30)

Only available in the Japanese Prime line, "War Breakdown" came with his packed-in partner Zamu, who transforms into Breakdown's wrist-mounted hammer (though it actually attaches to the truck mode roof bit which flips up over his wrist, but it's a close enough approximation).

The Debris Hammer is formed from Zamu (packaged with War Breakdown) in hammer mode at one end, Igu (packaged with the Jet Vehicon) forming the handle, and the first version of Gora (packaged with Deluxe Megatron) forming a second hammerhead at the other end.

A clear-red version of Zamu was given away as a campaign bonus with the purchase of 3000 yen's worth of Transformers at Japanese ToysЯUs stores on July 28, 2012.

Beast Hunters

• Ultra Magnus (Voyager, 2013)

Part of the third wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Voyager Class toys, Ultra Magnus is now a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Voyager Class Optimus Prime toy. He came with a larger-scale "Forge of Solus Battle Hammer", which features a 5mm handle.

Platinum Edition

• Ultra Magnus (Weaponizer, 2013)

Platinum Edition 'Thrilling 30' Ultra Magnus is a retool/redeco of the "Robots in Disguise" Weaponizer Class Optimus Prime toy that came with a different and even larger version of the "Forge of Solus Battle Hammer", which can only be held via two smaller 5mm handles on either end of the haft.
