Vapor Lock was one of a gang of Maladroids who stole the Terrastar, and tried to make a break for another galaxy, in defiance of the Convoy Council's edicts. Shortly after arrival in the Triangulum Galaxy, they learnt they'd been followed. Vapor Lock declared this was impossible, causing Malware to suggest they didn't know what the word meant. Lockjaw told Vapor Lock to head for a nearby blue-green planet.
