The Transformers Menagerie is a column in the Collectors' Club magazine from issue #49 to issue #54 by Jim Sorenson. It promises to trace the evolution of Primitives throughout the years, and is presented as a series of in-universe essays by Perceptor.
Installments
- Part 1: Cassette Technology — The creation of Cryo-Condors Laserbeak and Buzzsaw and Cougaraider Ravage as Recordicons. Also the later creation of Ratbat and the Autobots' Recordabots. Part 1
- Part 2: The Dinobots — The creation of the Dinobots and the implications for the future of the Transformer race. Part 2
- Part 3: The Insecticons — How the Insecticons came to be, and their many abilities. Part 3
- Part 4: The Terrorcons — The unclear origins of the Terrorcons, and their ability to combine into Abominus. Part 4
- Part 5: The Predacons — The influence of the Predacons on the future evolution of the Cybertronian race. Part 5
Notes
- Sorenson wrote the "Menagerie" articles with the intention of being set in a Sunbow cartoon-esque continuity, possibly the Wings Universe, but Fun Publications never made a formal declaration of which, if any, continuity the articles were set in.[1]
