Andalites are aliens from the Animorphs continuity.
The artist got infested before he got around to coloring my tail. :(

The Andalites are an organic alien species. They appear to be highly advanced technologically, most notable amongst their scientific achievements is their "morphing" technology. Said technology allows them to take up the forms of other organics by acquiring their genetic material through touch. It can also be used to bestow upon humans the same ability, making them become Animorphs, allies to the Andalites in the war against the Yeerk Empire. Little else is known about the Andalite species, though it is implied that it is difficult for a Yeerk to infest an Andalite, as there is only one known infested Andalite having ever been known to exist.

Known Andalites include:

Toys

  • Animorphs (1999)
    • Ax/Scorpion (Mega)
    • Ax/Panther (Deluxe)
    • Visser Three/Inferno Creature (Mega)
    • Visser Three/Hork-Bajir/Inferno Creature (Ultra)

Notes

  • Judging from the eye stalks on the Mutant Razor Claw's robot head, his toy was originally designed as an Andalite for the Animorphs line before it was canceled.
  • From what can be gathered from packaging art and toys, Andalites come in at least three colors: yellow, red and blue.
