- Tempo is a Titan from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Tempo was one of the Titans created by the legendary Knights of Cybertron to act as a living ship. Tempo carried a crew of philosophers seeking new kinds of truth.

Millions of years ago, Tempo and the other 12 colony Titans departed Cybertron to found new outposts of Cybertronian civilization. First Contact Tempo was one of the first Titans to leave, but by all accounts neither he or his crew ever returned.

Notes
- Aside from the musical concept, Tempo is Italian and Portuguese for "time". Considering how some other Titans have a direct connection to members of the Thirteen, Tempo may be affiliated with Vector Prime. If this holds, considering that it was specifically noted the crew were philosophers—a discipline which could be described as asking questions about the universe—this could be a stealth pun referencing "Ask Vector Prime".
