Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus explain where they came from, and Vector Prime and Sentinel Maximus's unknown ally is revealed.
Synopsis
Vector Prime, heavily damaged from the anti-matter reaction from the battle with Ramjet, returns with Skyfall and Downshift to the chamber of Alpha Trion, where the old sage is still being repaired, and where Vector Sigma still lies damaged. Vector Prime updates Downshift of the Autobot's progress on Earth, and informs him he must return soon to Earth. Notes
Continuity notes
- At this point, the Autobots have located a key, but so have the Decepticons.
- This comic depicts events that take place in the continuities of the Universe and Energon comics, both recently unfinished series.
- Vector Prime says the black hole seems to be causing memory problems with the Autobots. This, uh, appears to be an explanation for all the continuity errors between Energon and Cybertron television series present in the dubbing.
- And yet, Downshift seems to remember events which apparently happened in the comic book version of Energon. Fans have heard rumors that the Cybertron cartoon may be meant to take place after the Energon comic instead of the cartoon. Dark Scorponok's packaging bio may be support for this idea, as it mentions a death for him that occurred in the comic, not the cartoon. Then again, it has never been said that there isn't a version of Over-Run who is native to the Unicron Trilogy cartoon continuity.
- Razorclaw is seen killing a pair of Mini-Cons. One of them appears to be Gunbarrel while the other one is too indistinct. Almost a decade later, the Facebook version of Ask Vector Prime would identify the other Mini-Con Child of Primus as an Armada Sky Blast.
- When Vector Prime is seen with the children, they are investigating an Atlantis pattern found on a rock.
Transformers references
- In the flashback, Optimus Primal is in his 10th Anniversary body. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are both back in their original Generation 1 bodies. Side Burn and Prowl are in their Universe colors. Ramulus is shown in his Longhorn colors. Cheetor is in his Universe body.
- Rhinox is fighting Tankor, which is pretty cool, if you think about it.
- Outside the entrance to the Archives are statues of Generation 1 Grimlock and Jetfire.
- The drone robot that is repairing Sentinel Maximus while Alpha Trion's body is being loaded into the repair chamber is designed after the repair drone inside of Generation 1 Optimus Prime's trailer.
Errors
- In the first Universe flashback panel, Cheetor is colored in white and black. Rhinox appears to be in black and gold.
- Due to the coloring, it's kind of hard to tell whether it's Roulette or Shadow Striker that King Atlas is carrying. Rhinox is still in grays.
- Over-Run, in his flashback, is green for some reason.
- The three human characters' hair colors have been scrambled: Lori's hair is colored sandy blonde when it should be black. Bud's hair is black when it should be platinum blonde. Coby's hair is platinum blond when it should be sandy blonde.
Other notes
- From this chapter of Revelations onward, Ultra Magnus is colored in his original toy/cartoon color scheme, rather than the darker hues used on the Cybertron re-release of his toy, which he sported last issue.
