The name or term "Sawtooth" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Sawtooth (disambiguation).
Sawtooth is an Autobot-allied Weaponizer Mini-Con from the Robots in Disguise portion of the Aligned continuity family.
That was a 70 inch, plasma TV.

Sawtooth is a Weaponizer Mini-Con. Despite his monstrous appearance, he is actually eloquent in speech and employs a kind-hearted nature. Oh, except for when he turns into a powerful trident and chops you to pieces.

More recently he's been working with the Scavenger Scatterspike before ultimately ending up with the Autobot Strongarm.

And so did Anthony Hopkins, and he got a fragging Oscar for it.

Sawtooth and his fellow Mini-Cons were captured by the Decepticons in their youth and experimented on. Given the ability to combine with their larger brethren, the Mini-Cons were stored in a laboratory in Darkmount until Starscream stumbled on them. They managed to escape Starscream and fell in with some scavengers so they could escape Cybertron, only to find their new hosts were heading for Earth. They set about trying to work out a way to abandon the scavengers and leave the planet. Mini-Con Madness

Sawtooth accompanied Scatterspike to Mount St. Hilary, where the pair set about drilling to find Autobot technology. When they were stumbled on by Strongarm and Fixit, Sawtooth was able to temporarily take control of the larger Autobot during the ensuing fight. He went after Fixit when the other Mini-Con went to stop the drill, and attempted to plead with Fixit to let them have what they wanted, however when it became clear that the drilling was causing the mountain to become unstable, Sawtooth and Fixit began working together. They were temporarily trapped as the cavern destabilized, and after the danger had passed, Sawtooth managed to rescue Scatterspike. They returned to the other scavengers aboard their ship, and Sawtooth reported to Aerobolt about what he'd seen. Strongarm's Big Score

I'm not apologizing.

The Mini-Cons accompanied the scavengers to an automated ship to find a relic, and Sawtooth linked with Scatterspike in order to head to the ocean floor to search. After the scavengers managed to retrieve the Dark Star Saber, Sawtooth and his companions stole their sub-orbital craft. Detecting a power source capable of getting them offplanet, they invaded the scrapyard looking for it, only to be told it had already been destroyed. Mighty Big Trouble Their craft eventually ran out of fuel, but they ran into the Autobots again and after Aerobolt recognised Optimus Prime, the two groups teamed up. During an ensuing fight with the scavengers, Sawtooth temporarily linked with Strongarm, only to be separated from her and injured. He and his companions were snatched up by Starscream. Mini-Con Madness

Starscream attempted to merge with the Mini-Cons, only for it to fail because Tricerashot was missing. He was eventually able to obtain the last Mini-Con and merge with all seven Mini-Cons. them all, however Fixit was able to activate a signal and separate Aerobolt. Aerobolt found Optimus and linked with him, providing the Autobot leader with a powerup that let him go up against the super-powered Starscream. The super-powered Starscream dueled with Optimus until he was able to be lured into range of Fixit's signal, which separated him from the Mini-Cons. Sawtooth and his fellow Mini-Cons left Earth on the sub-orbital craft, now modified by Fixit for space travel. Worthy
