The Colonist Soldiers are an Autobot subgroup from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

With the Council of Worlds now governing relations between Cybertron and its various colonies, it was inevitable that some unaligned Transformers from these isolated planets would eventually choose to join one of Cybertron's two chief factions. The Colonist Soldiers are the end result of this process, representing the next generation of Autobots.

Young, eager, and impressionable, the team spends most of its time idolizing their leader and spiritual inspiration Optimus Prime; not only are they prone to kneeling whenever he's around, but they've also taken to wearing mouthplates in honor of their leader. Neither Arcee nor Aileron are particularly fond of them.

The Colonist Soldiers consist of:

The Colonist Soldiers joined Optimus Prime and his Autobots on Earth some time the defeat of Baron Karza and Earth's Ore-13 crisis. Together, they officially became new Autobots and assisted with peacekeeping efforts across the globe. On one early mission, they were deployed to Mexico City to hunt down some salvaged Cybertronian technology, but were forced to call in the veterans when a human protester downed Midnight Express with a reverse-engineered Cybertronian blaster. To Walk Among the Chosen

When the Junkions arrived on Earth, the team pestered Optimus and Soundwave with questions about the aliens, which annoyed the other Autobots. A Lonely Pillar on the Plain When the Junkions turned on humanity by unleashing a horde of Sharkticons on a diplomatic summit, the Colonist Soldiers took part in efforts to repel the invaders. Though the Junkions were defeated and a new peace brokered between the factions, Oiler was killed in the battle — a casualty that had a profound effect on his twin sister Slide. Feel Safe Without Regrets

In the aftermath, the colonists were moved to the Bikini Atoll to help in the construction of a new settlement for Junkions, Sharkticons, and Cybertronians alike. The colonists quickly grew bored with life on the island and spent most of their free time hanging out on the beach, ignorant to the fact that an increasingly lonely and bitter Slide was being groomed by Camien Torchbearer Pyra Magna.
