The Covenant of Primes is a Cybertronian holy book.
Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity
The Covenant of Primes held several prophecies within, among them, the "Dark Cybertron" prophecy. Scoop was an avid reader of the book while Starscream dismissed it contents as "stories passed down by zealots". Black Metal
After Scoop had been arrested, Three Monologues he read the book in jail. Upon the arrival of the Necrotitan, Starscream visited Scoop in jail where the latter consulted the book for guidance. Though Starscream was ready to take his leave, he was stopped by the prophecy's line of "stars shall scream" and the hieroglyph of the "unmaker" being identical to Shockwave's face. Black Metal
Years later at Sideswipe's funeral, a member in the crowd wondered if Optimus Prime would sign their Covenant of the Primes datapad. The Dead Come Home, Part 1
Notes
- The Covenant of Primes is IDW's seeming stand-in for the Covenant of Primus, the one letter switch likely stemming from the fact that belief in Primus is not widespread in the IDW continuity.
