Technoism is the belief that mechanical species are inherently superior to organic ones. Right-minded individuals like Vector Prime consider it to be amoral.
Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity
During the Golden Age, Nova Prime was a staunch Technoist, believing that Cybertron should dominate the galaxy. Spotlight: Optimus Prime When Megatron voiced his desire for the Cybertronian race to subjugate the "lesser species", Optimus Prime recognized his words as Technoism. Chaos Theory Part 1
Upon Scorponok revealing the Firstborn, an appalled Nickel noted the creature's very existence, and Scorponok's plans for it, spat in the face of technosim. Scorponok waved off these concerns. Kill All 'Cons
The Functionist Universe
In a timeline where Megatron never came to be, the Great War never happened, and thus there was no neo-technoism. The Decepticons thus never came about to travel across known space to cyberform planets, which would have killed countless billions of organic sentients. Predestination: An Expert's Guide
Ask Vector Prime
In Aurex 606.0 Kappa, Landslide, an Autobot who defected to the Decepticons, was a technoist. Ask Vector Prime, 14/9/2015
Notes
- The term technoism did not debut until 2007 in the IDW Generation 1 continuity, but it is probably a part of the philosophy of the Generation 2 Cybertronian Empire.
