Bishop interviews a guest whose demonstration goes wrong.

Synopsis

Bishop greets his evening viewers, telling them that tonight they have a very special guest: Doc, foremost expert on the Guardian robots. With the Guardians starting to age and run down, Doc has begun creating Centurion droids to replace them. Bishop states that Centurions are infamously hard to control, but Doc assures him that his new version of the model has worked out those kinks and has his assistant, Centrifuge, demonstrate the droids abilities. Unfortunately, the Centurions regard the lab assistant as a threat, and proceed to beat Centrifuge. Notes

Continuity notes

  • Doc was a generic seen in Transformers episode "The Secret of Omega Supreme", where he gave a check-up to Omega. Omega was one of the Guardian robots, which is why Doc is noted to be an expert on them. Centrifuge, meanwhile, is an all new character.
  • Centurion droids appeared in the Transformers two-parter, "The Key to Vector Sigma." The Centurion droids in those episode were ancient robots who guarded Vector Sigma; the Centurion Droids here are new robots based on them. Like their predecessors, they are highly aggressive.

Transformers references

  • Doc calls the Guardian robots GADEPs, the Japanese name for the robots in the dub of the Transformers cartoon, and perhaps more well known because of the e-HOBBY exclusive toy.
