Side Burn proceeds to childishly mock the others, when a blast throws him off-balance. Magnum hauls an indignate Side Burn to the side, as the Decepticons begin to attack. Magnum realizes that the Decepticons knew they were coming, having spies all over the area, and has [[Ricochet (Timelines)|Ricochet]] scout out for the leader. Ricochet's spots [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], and tries to relay the information, but the Seeker, mocking the flying Autobot, blasts him with his null-rays, sending him plummeting to the ground. Transforming, he instructs the Decepticons to attack...until he too is blasted out the air by [[Flak (G1)|Flak]]. Magnum rushes forth to attack Deathsaurus, telling the Decepticon that he will pay for what he did to the [[Combaticon (G1)|Combaticon]]s, believing that he brainwashed him. A bemused Deathsaurus tells him that the Combaticons chose to turn against the [[Cybertron Elite Guard|Elite Guard]], and the Combaticons, having also arrived, confirm his story. Deathsaurus goads Magnum, proclaiming that if the dedicated Combaticons could defect, then so could he; enraged, Magnum rushes forth, knocking back Deathsaurus. Thunderclash [[Kup (G1)|Kup]], [[Dion (G1)|Dion]], Side Burn, and [[Landshark]] engage the Combaticons, trying to keep them from merging into [[Bruticus (G1)|Bruticus]]. Synopsis

- On the second-to-last panel of page 1, Side Burn's speech balloon is missing, though its tail is still there. A transcript of what it was supposed to contain can be found on Wittenrich's DA journal: "Smelt it! Those gear-slippin’ Decepti-jokers know how to ruin a guy’s hero moment!"
