This is the first major usage of the name "Nova Storm," having only been used previously as a retroactively-applied name given to a member of the Generation 1 Rainmakers via Ask Vector Prime. This is the first version of the character to be portrayed as female. She is primarily purple in color, rather than the original version's yellow.
