This is the first mainstream usage of the name "Nova Storm", having previously only been used as a retroactively-applied (via Ask Vector Prime) name given to a member of the Generation 1 Rainmakers. Cyberverse Nova Storm is the first version of the character to be portrayed as female and is primarily purple in color, rather than the original version's yellow.
