The name or term "Steve" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Steve (disambiguation).

Steve Whitaker (June 26, 1955 - February 22, 2008) was a British comic book colourist, best known for colouring V for Vendetta. He grew up in Kent and London, and achieved a BA Hons Degree in Painting in 1978. Some of his earliest comics colouring work was for Marvel Comics, on Transformers, Miracleman and Action Force. He went on to have a noted career, winning awards for his colouring on V for Vendetta and The New Adventures of Adolph Hitler. His later work included issues of Tank Girl, Doctor Who, and Turok, Dinosaur Hunter. After his sudden death in 2008, many of his comic industry friends posted tributes on the web.

Like fellow colourist Gina Hart, Whitaker coloured Megatron's chest gold to match a gold tint seen in Megatron's box art, though he may simply have been following her lead.
