- Black Charger is a Decepticon from the Japanese cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Black Charger" is a clone of the original Windcharger created by Shockwave.
Fiction
Wars manga
Seeking to neutralize Optimus Prime's successor, but not knowing who it would be, Megatron had Shockwave create an assortment of evil clones of various Autobots, Windcharger included. The clones threatened to overwhelm the Autobots on one of the Moonbases, but their lives were ended when Dark Hot Rod and Hot Rod managed to destroy Shockwave's lab systems that were supporting their existence. - The Generation 1 Windcharger mold was retooled by Hasbro licensee Fun4All. A small plastic ring was added to the front bumper, which the metal key chain attaches to. In Japan, the four Mini Vehicles were sold in small blind-packed boxes, as 7-Eleven exclusives. Each of the keychains also had black "chase" versions.
